Who can participate?

TEAM MEMBERS:
Students may enter individually or may enter as a team of up to 4 members.
Students develop an invention/innovation project by learning and following the 7 steps of the invention process.
They can start a project from scratch or adapt a science or maker project.

Project Phases
1 IDEATE
your invention
In this phase, students will identify a problem in their environment, understand the problem through research and conceive different solutions.
2 DESIGN
In this phase, possible solutions, their physical design and functionalities are projected and modeled. A detailed drawing or plan of the invention is made.
3 PRESENT
In this phase, students document their entire project and present their prototype invention to a team of judges at a state event. 5 team winners of the state event will attend the national event.
4 START
In this phase the best 30 teams in Nationals will represent the USA at the International Event.
